Amber Williams joined Scout in 2011 and serves as Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting, responsible for all aspects of accounting and tax for all Funds.
Amber is a Cum Laude alumnus from McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. She has over 20 years of accounting and finance experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Scout as controller in 2011, she spent over eight years in multiple positions of accounting at Merit Energy including Senior Property Accountant, Property Accounting Manager and Tax Manager. Her experience includes fund accounting, property and production accounting, industry specific accruals, general ledger, accounts receivable management, accounts payable management, royalty and tax, net profits and partnership reporting.
Amber is a Certified Public Accountant and holds memberships with the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA), the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS) and an executive membership with the North Texas Chapter of the Women’s Energy Network.
